Dr. Allison Adamus (Family Physician)

Our team, Allison Adamus

Dr. Adamus received her medical degree from the University of Saskatchewan and her specialization in Family Medicine from Dalhousie Univeristy. She has a passion for patient centered medicine and looks forward to working with patients to achieve their goals. She is excited to offer general care, as well as palliative care medicine.

 

Dr. Amanda Walker (Family Physician)

Our team, Dr Amanda Walker

Dr. Walker completed her undergraduate training and graduate studies in Animal Science, and then made the transition to the medical profession. She received her medical degree from the University of Saskatchewan, and specialty training in Family Medicine at the University of British Columbia. She is excited about providing community-based primary health care.

 

Dr. Lanre Okunola (Family Physician)

Dr. Lanre Okunola

Dr. Okunola is graduate of the University of Saskatchewan Family Medicine Program. He enjoys meeting new people. When he is not in clinic he can be found with his wife and 2 amazing children. He also enjoys cooking, painting with acrylic on canvas and playing squash.

 

Dr. Kira Schaab (Family Physician)

Dr. Kira Schaab

Dr. Kira Schaab is a family physician with a special interest in obstetrics and geriatrics.  She completed her family practice residency training at the University of Wyoming and is excited to be back practicing in her home province of Saskatchewan.  She enjoys spending time outside with her husband, Matt, two daughters, and their dog, Addy.

 

Dr. Vanessa Leung Shing (Family Physician)

MD, CCFP, Assistant Professor Department of Academic Family Medicine

Dr. Vanessa Leung Shing was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and attended the University of Manitoba, completing a Bachelor of Science. She achieved her Medical Degree at the University of Galway in Galway, Ireland. She then moved back to the prairies to complete the residency training program in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

She is passionate about primary care, clinical teaching and women’s/breast health.

In her spare time, she loves to dance, travel and spend time with her friends and family. She is thrilled to be part of the MCHW family!

 

Trevor Adamus (Physiotherapist)

BSc(PT), MClSc(Manip), FCAMPT, Certificate Sport Physiotherapy, Biomedical Dry Needling

Trevor Physiotherapy Martensville

Trevor received his BSc(PT) in 2008 at the University of Saskatchewan and his MClSc(Manip) in 2013 at the University of Western Ontario. He became a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (CAMPT) in 2013, acknowledging his advanced skills in manual and manipulative therapy to the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Trevor achieved his Certificate in Sport Physiotherapy through Sport Physiotherapy Canada in 2014 and has covered a wide variety of sports. He has been involved in elite competitions including the Professional Tennis Tour, World Junior Track and Field Championships, Pan Am Junior Track and Field Championships, Canada Games (Track and Field) and Professional Bull Riders (PBR). In 2017 he obtained his Biomedical Dry Needling Certificate. Trevor has special interests in neck and back pain, sports injuries in athletes of all ages, concussion management, pre- and post operative rehabilitation, custom bracing and on-field physiotherapy coverage. He also has a passion for athlete screening. This involves assessing athletes to identify and correct any muscle imbalances to improve performance and prevent injuries.
